Chuck Finch began his interest in computers in 1977 playing a Lunar Lander game on a tape fed teletype terminal as a freshman in high school. The program was written in original Dartmouth BASIC. Playing the game was fun enough but loading, reading, and editing the program to add features and fix bugs was even better. BASIC was a main stay of the majority of the programs created by Chuck. From GW-BASIC to QuickBASIC to VisualBasic 6, it solved many problems and provided many learnign opportunites. Of course in todays world other languages like Python, Javascript, Java, Ruby, Racket, and others have been added to the problem solving arsenal.
